Riverside State Park
Riverside State Park is full of fun and interesting activities for the whole family. This park has over 10,000 acres and is the second largest park in Washington State. Riverside has camping areas, hiking trails, and rock walls. You are welcome to take your bike and ride the bike trails and there is also room to ride your ATV. The Spokane House is a museum with artifacts from the Spokane tribe and early traders who settled in the area. This site is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day on Saturdays and Sundays. There is plenty of water for water sports such as kayaking and canoeing.

Golf
Spokane has many fabulous golf courses for all golfers. Most are operated by the Spokane Park District and there are also several private courses. Hangman Valley Golf Course is just one example of beautifully maintained golf courses in the Spokane Area. It offers golf pros to give lessons to all ages, a putting green, and a driving range over the lake. The bar and grill offers food and liquid refreshments after you complete the par 72, 18-hole championship course.

Outdoor Recreations
One of the most spectacular parks and popular with tourists is Manito Park. It offers lovely formal gardens filled with flowers, walking trails, playgrounds and other outside activities. The 90-acre park is surrounded by beautiful historic homes. Several formal gardens are located in Manito Park and a conservatory full of lush tropical plants is open year round.

Historical Sites
Spokane has many lovely, historic homes to visit. The Patsy Clark Mansion was built by mining millionaire Patsy Clark. This mansion is located in the Browne's Addition Historic District and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The house was designed by Kirtland Cutter in 1897. Once used as a restaurant it has since been purchased and preserved by a local law firm. The law firm's offices are on the second and third floor. The first floor can be reserved for parties and galas.
